Everyone knows we can recruit like hell, so staying positive keeps good athletes moving towards us. For those say we've regressed, we haven't. We are what we are. IIWII. FSU was ass and we know it now. That high of week one wasn't that much of a high.
Like you, I worry about our ability to do much more than recruit, but we have to let it play out and keep getting the athletes on board. Forgetting penalties and all the obvious things, on drives we can go 45 yards in 3 plays, then have to take a time out at the 7 yard line because we can't get a play in...or players looking to the sidelines with 12 seconds left on the play clock to go to see if they should be on the field for the formation called. We were hugely out of synch on offense and that begins with the OC. As to D, we may not have made the progress some thought we did, but we have upgraded talent some. But to earlier points, yardage and scoring doesn't lie. The secondary was a huge disappointment yesterday, but part of that is on a lack of pass rush as well. Special teams need to be renamed, minus our stud punter.
There was zero, nothing, nada for us to be happy with on Saturday. We are light years away and based on Saturday, 3-8 looks probable. But we have to let it play out and keep positive momentum going. If you could read my mind you'll know I was never a convert or believer in the cheerleaders, as i haven't seen the progress on the sidelines or field, YET. But it is only year two and I'm a Tech Man first and naysayer second...so I go forward with hope. But damn, can we see a little coaching effort, organization, ass-chewing and holding people responsible?
I'm tired of finding new low points of the program every couple of games. Is it possible we can make Saturday our low point and move forward?
mooch, out.
