Let\'s keep fhe football fires burning!

OK folks, we're WAY under 100 days to go 'til kickoff with Vandy. Let's not lose our momentum now. I know it's a holiday weekend and lots of you are having fun with family and friends, but let's not forget our beloved football Jackets! The Hive has begun their countdown with salutes to players whose numbers represent how many days til the start of the season. Let's keep it going over here. BTW, kudos to Ah for the great topic starters on the coaches. I still feel like we can do more with those. Other ideas:

1/Key players on defensive line?
2/Key players in secondary?
3/Key players on off. line?
4/New faces that you predict will make headlines this year? (LOTS of great recruits from '99-'00). Who's gonna be our next Nat Dorsey??

Just a few thought starters. Remember last time I did one of these posts we rattled off a 50 plus post more than once!! C'mon Stingtalkers!!

Two quick thoughts:

1. We CANNOT afford any injuries on the OL. We have very little depth there.

2. Time for Hobie Holiday to step up.

just two random thoughts I had this AM...

Thanks coldbeer. I agree that our o-line can scare afford even one injury this year. They are the BIG key I think to a successful season this year. They stay healthy and we could surprise some folks.

On the defensive side of the ball, much has been said about our lack of quality defensive tackles. We should be improved here, but are we gonna be able to stand up to the FSU'S and guys with the BIG lines?? ALSO, what about our young DT's like Omar Billy and LeRon Lee. They ought to be able to step up some this year, doncha think??

Sorry I don't have a cool picture to flash up here.

If last year is any indication, I hope we don't have any injuries at linebacker either. These guys are the strength of our defense. We need Daryl to stay healthy all year. He makes such a difference when he's got it all going.
