In 2014, we got alot breaks that wemt our way. We were only maybe a couple of plays from being 8-4 that year. The Virginia Tech, Ga Southern, and Georgia games all came down to a play or two. Plus we beat a Watson less Clemson team in the second half. Luckily, the breaks went are way that year. The opposite was true last year. We could have easily have gone 7-5 last year with the same breaks we got in 2014. My point being is that at Tech, 7 to 8 wins a year is pretty much the norm with a very good season mixed in every once in awhile.

Is there a posting bot that is set to post something along the lines of this BS weekly here? We get it, temper our expectations, we got luck in 2014 and unlucky in 2015, we don't deserve nice things etc etc

Tech was only 3-3 in close games in 2014. So in the bad years, we get zero breaks and in good years we only get 50-50 breaks? F that. GT's gotten such bad luck the majority of the time in close games for so long in football and basketball. Some teams are smiled on by the sporting gods. Tech deserves a few breaks. Yes, some of it is "good teams make their own luck." But Tech is still paying for the 2004 Final Four by losing like 80-90% of close games in basketball. Do we also have to expect to pay for 2014 football by missing a bowl for several years? Not mad at the OP, just tired of bad luck and us having to find ways rationalize it.

Remember Tech could have sucked in 2014 but got lucky just like the Falcons over the past 4 weeks.

The team that usually wins the game is the team that makes the fewest mistakes!

Yep, 7 to 8 wins will always be the norm.

Especially if that is what your leaders expectations are. Especially if you can dumb down your supporters enough to make them believe we are not capable of more.

Actually I think we're losing 80-90% of close games in basketball because we hired a crappy coach.
