I know everyone is talking about how bad Gailey and Braine is...how many head coaches has Braine appointed since he started his job as AD for Ma Tech?
So far, the most obviously success is Hewitt. This guy was a steal. Yes, he didn't find Hewitt, but someone pointed it out to him, but he hired him. Volleyball coach...if anyone hasn't noticed, our team is in the top 25...softball, we just won the ACC crown last year and did well in the tournament after being pretty damn bad with the same coach in 2001. The men's tennis coach got promoted to his position under Braine and the team is getting better and better. Braine also hired the women's tennis coach and they had their best year ever last season.
Gailey is Braine's first real big decision relating to football. I know we are all PO'ed over the MD game, but Braine seems to have a pretty good track record on coaches. Lets give them all a bit of time.
