no matter what happened in the F$U game, it would be the Clem's son game that would set the tone for how our season went. I firmly believe that still, especially given the F$U game.

There are no moral victories in football. At the end of the season, everyone will look back at our record and still see a check mark in the "L" column against F$U. At the end of the season it doesn't matter how close we were, what call Gailey made, or how many turnovers we had. A loss is a loss.

What matters is what we do next week on our home field against a team that is in disarray. Forget about last week. For me at least, the F$U game simply raised my expectations out of this coaching staff and team. I hope it did the same for them. I hope that they expect to go out and give the exact same peroformance against a bad Tiger team. I hope they expact to beat IPTAY by a whole lotta points. I know that is what I excpect out of them.

I expect this out of them because they have more heart in them than any team I have seen in a long time. I saw the game that everyone else saw last Saturday. Our kids played to their physical limits and then went a little further. I want to leave the F$U game at that. No need to really talk about it too much, or break it down.

They have already met one of my expectations for the year. I wanted to see a team that gave it their all for 60 minutes. I have seen that for 2 weeks now. Gailey and the players get credit for that. Now I expect this gutty performance every game, and from coaches and players alike.

I will be up bright and early next Saturday, and tailgating with the knowledge that all the tiger fans will be going home in shame. I believe in my Jackets, and it will happen.

I agree. There weren't too many people jumping on the we will beat FSU bandwagon last week so the fact that we actually almost pulled it off in front of a capacity crowd of Seminole fans is a credit to the heart of this team. It also showed that Auburn wasn't a fluke. The bar has certainly been raised in many people's eyes.

The problem I had from last year was that we showed no improvement from the beginning of the season to the end. This year we have shown plenty of improvement and haven't quit it any game. That is a credit to the players and coaches alike.

This week is the game when they can finally show everyone how far they've come along. I'm excited about the prospects for the rest of the season and this Saturday I expect my excitement to be proved appropriate.

As one of many fence sitters, I didn't immediately jump off the wagon last year and I'm not ready to jump on it yet either. I've posted for some time now that the Clemson game will speak volumes as to the current, and at least mid-term future of our program. Saturday will either validate the last 2 games or be a severe setback (same holds true for the pups too IMO).

Clemson will for sure be an improved version of what they offered against ugag, but they are still a mediocre at best team with suspect coaching and a less than dominant defense. A loss to this bunch would be very disappointing.

I for one think the last 2 weeks were great testimonials to Chan's ability to focus the team, and to Tenuta's defensive mind, which with a few more studs will prove to be RF's equal on that side of the ball.

Hats off too to Dave Wilson's special teams play. Kick-off coverage will likely improve each week and Higgins and Burnett are off to good starts.

Biggest remaining ? is offensive production and our current 3 headed OC set-up. We have had 3 games now against tough competition to get most of the kinks out and install more of the system. Clemson's D this Saturday represents a perfect opportunity to show how much we have, or have not progressed. My guess is Jackets win this one and this fence sitter jumps on the wagon. THWG
