Since we have Charter and not one of the Dish companies, we don't have ESPN-U. Also, having 2 little ones, we can't exactly do the sports bar thing.

So, we're stuck with radio. Unfortunately, we can't pick up any of the stations (Lawrenceville/Buford area). I got online and can listen to 790 online or 91.1 online. I was wondering if anyone knew if either station blocks the online transmission for any reason during the game? 91.1 seems to be better quality online, but do they broadcast Wes, or their own play-by-play?

If anyone knows of another way to watch the game in our situation, I'm open. This is killing me, I almost dropped Charter today to go for an emergency Dish installation :p (still have my old Directv dish and receiver). Called Charter up and threatened to cancel, at least I got upgraded service and a discount out of the deal  Would trade it for ESPN-U though :(

GTC:

My cable company was Adelphia up until this week. Adelphia is now under the Comcast umbrella. Adelphia had ESPN-U, I just found out that Comcast does not have ESPN-U. I'm a bit upset right now that I cannot watch the game ...very upset actually.

If you cannot pick up 97.1 (I know you can't get 790, as none of us can) then online is probably your best option. Up here in North Forsyth I can pick up 107.1 fm out of Rome. I listen to this when I watch the game on tv because the delay is minimal.

But since your like me and unable to get ESPN-U, your best bet will be online. Looks like that's my reality for tonight.

I'm very sorry. Trust me, you'll find out about Comcast's customer (dis)service soon enough.

I've got Adelphia still. I'm watching the game tonight, it sounds like this will end when Comcast comes to town.

BTW, try 107.1 for the radio feed GTCalvinist.

I tried to do the emergency switch to Dish Network before the last Tech game on ESPNU. I waited for 4 hours on a Wednesday morning for a guy coming out of Statesboro. The guy got they, surveyed the area, and told me the two tall pine trees in my neighbor's back yard blocked the signal to their ONE satellite. I was mad enough before they told me it would take 7-10 business days to refund my activation fee that shouldn't have been charged until after the installation.

I'm listening to 101.7FM in Vidalia, but I'm tempted to sit in my driveway and listen to it on XM. I wish they'd put the XM sports stations online instead of just the music.
