Listing the out of state verbal commits (FYI)

Calling them "out of state" verbal commits is a bit redundant.

beeware is negative about everything to do with the coaching staff (except for Bill O'Brien).

all his posts talk about are the impending doom of the tech football program. this has been the case from the first post and hasn't changed at all.

he has got nothing new to say. he keeps playing his broken record over and over again.

therefore, a post from beeware is by definition redundant.

Who is the most likely instate HS football players to sign with Tech early this year? Does anyone have a short list of players that they are closely following?

We were actually a co-leader with Auburn for the big tight end from Dalton...Cole Bennett.
But apparently, after he officially visited us, he has now written us off completely.
A big miss for us.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">UPDATE:
Cole Bennett was featured tonight as the scholar athlete of the week on Coundown to Signing Day on Fox Sports Net show with Jamie Newberg. He made 1300 on the SAT. They said he was one of the top tightends in the entire southeast and had committed to Auburn.

Note, as stated above.....TECH was his leader until he visited at the BYU game.
As the song says "Another one (from Georgia) bites the Dust". There are now approximately 33 athletes from Georgia that have committed to Division 1 programs. Number of these committed to TECH????? ZERO.

B-wear:

What is your opinion of NC State's recruiting, current talent level/record? Not that I disagree with you about ignoring the state of Georgia, but in the last few weeks as State has been given more exposure, I have read on more than one occasion that Amato's strategy has been to recruit Fl and that up to 20 players are on the 2 deep roster especially on defense.

Not sure if this number is correct (and I'm sure someone will point this out), but I know he has attributed their sucess to these players. Rivers is from AL by the way.

Not sure where Gailey is headed with recruiting, but a recruit is a recruit and does it really matter how many come from Ga as long as they can play?
