Looking ahead, after the season...will RB be in the

I think none! How many QB's have you seen playing pro ball at whatever level who was not at least a nationally recognize player? Little Joe did not make the NFL, NFL/Europe but arena. With his capabilities yet nothing, so our QB has little to no chance of a pro career.

Are you serious?!! Reggie in the NFL? as what a towel boy? His stats aren't even average. He was the worst QB to start in any bowl game last year (statistically). Hamilton didn't even cut it in the NFL, and Reggie is no Joe.

Re: Looking ahead, after the season...will RB be in

Reggie is a legit athlete... I think he might end up in the CFL or Arena, perhaps not as a quarterback, but definitely as a player (safety, rb maybe?)

I respect that he has a tremendous drive to win and always gives 110%; however I think he has an attitude problem, is too cocky and unfortunately his 110% isn't enough to win games consistently. Most QB's would kill to have a target like Calvin to throw to...well I'm just going to stop right there. Regardless, I hope Reggie has an awesome year and wish him success in whatever he does in the future.

Re: Looking ahead, after the season...will RB be in

Reggie will be in the NFL, as this past draft showed, teams love picking up athletic college QBs who can be moved to other positions.

CFL or NFL Europe next year? Or the Arena League?

I think this is just a loaded question, hoping for a blood bath.

My answer is I hope so. If he does move on and up, we will have one helluva season. So will Reggie. What he has done up to now is not average even at the college level.

Re: Looking ahead, after the season...will RB be in

There was a bizarre article I saw once that some CFL team had given rights to Reggie Ball to another team in a trade. Apparently they have rights to players who haven't even announced their intention to play in the CFL. Reggie's a good athlete and a mediocre QB, but I think he would have played better last year if he didn't have such a young line in front of him.

Not to mention, the level of play in the CFL just isn't that good. Just think of College Football without all the players who at least went to NFL Europe. The heirarchy(sp?) of pro football goes like this:

CFL < Arena < NFL Europe < NFL

And for whoever said Reggie was worst QB in any bowl, I would disagree with that. I doubt the QBs at the mid-majors like Toledo or Northern Illinios (or whoever was playing, I don't feel like looking it up) would be a better overall QB than Reggie.

Sorry FloridaJacket...

Mid Major QB's tend to be better than low Major QB's.

If Toledo had Charlie Frye, then they were better.
Most of that is due to playing in pass first systems.

Evidence?? the Back-up QB who torched us in San Francisco.
Not only was he a back-up, he was also a JC transfer.

Reggie's strengths: escapability, field vision, and toughness, consistent deep ball, would be best suited to Paul Johnson's Triple Option..not Chan's read-and-react LeChatlier Equilibrium Offense.

Re: Sorry FloridaJacket...

I was just making a general statement and really wasn't considering a specific team or QB. Nobody would be saying these things about Reggie based on his play against Syracuse and that's the level of defense many of these mid-major teams play week in and week out, including other mid-major teams in the lowest-tier bowls such as the New Orleans, GMAC, and Motor City Bowl.

Now, I'm not going to say Reggie was one of the best bowl QBs out there, but I found the statement that he was the worst to be rather unfounded in light of these mid-major vs. mid-major bowls and the stats QBs can have in such bowls.

I don't want to knock the kid because of all of his efforts that he's made, to date, for GT. But if RB makes it in the NFL it will only be, IMO, as a punt returner. Which is what he should been here at GT.

Re: Looking ahead, after the season...will RB be in

Reggie as an NFL QB is a pipe dream that he probably doesn't have himself. The NFL is a passing league. Reggie simply is too short and not accurate enough. They won't even look at him there. If they believe he's a good enough athlete to play elsewhere he can probably get a FA contract with someone to try and stick.

He may have a shot at QB in the CFL because being a run/pass QB can work there.

No way on Arena League at QB either IMO. Again, it's a passing league that puts a high priority on completion %.

That's where I can see Reggie easily but let's let this season play out first.

Gnats67, you're exactly right. Let's just focus on Notre Dame at this point, shall we?
