while still on the high of Ugay game began to think about the future of GT and i realized that we should definitely make a run the NC next year...

we lose two on offense (gardner and aj smith) but their backups has lot experience so the offense should be flying high. im ready to see this offense get deep in the playbook

... and the defense will be even better. Yeah i know we lose our three key lineman, but everybody else should be back and the chemistry should be better with one another since they each have a year playing with each other. Also, there will only be one senior on the defense(Sed Griffin)

...so this offseason may be one of glits and glamour for the GT football. sure hope they dont get caught up like Clemson did!!!

I agree it's very possible...but if we want to make it a reality, we must remedy our kicking game (that botched XP could have ended up costing us the UGA game on Saturday). Consistency is the key.

First things first... Let's just win the ACC and then let's talk National Championship.

Let's not get carried away. We should be better offensively than this year, but we will still have a schedule with 6-7 teams at least that can beat us. Let's not act like ugag fans or anything.

Next year will be a HUGE challenge. But with the home schedule we have and the 19 starters returning...We will do work.

I'm more focused on recruiting right now. I'd like to see us pick up another top runningback that can play the B spot.

we will have anthony allen (the ul transfer) eligible to play next year...he's already a bonafide stud...cant wait to see how cpj uses him...

I need to see what we are fielding on the defensive side of the ball before I can even begin to consider a possible title run. I agree with the earlier post saying that we should just focus on the ACC this year. I'll throw in another win over uga on top of that. Those should be our goals. We take care of those things, and our year will not only be special, but we will possibly be in position for a definite title run in 2010.

I think it is very easy to underestimate the importance of line play. I think we will lose a game or two before the defense starts rolling.

I think many teams in the ACC will be better next year, along with us:

NC, NC State, Duke, FSU, Miami, VA and Maryland

I think next season will resemble this one very closely.

I've heard that Anthony Allen is as good or better than Dwyer...I cant wait to see him in action! yeah i think our focus from hear on for recruiting should be towards defense. do we have any top linebackers coming in?

Sounds like my signature might have been a little short sighted, we could win the ACC next season if we simply do something about fumbles, we do that and we wont need to get "better". Good news is we will get better anyways.

They are comparable, but JD has better breakaway speed. I think they will both start and alternate between A and B back.
