What's up with Lucas trying to juke out a VT cornerback. I forget when he attempted to do it, but; it was on one of his long run plays. He weighs about 220-230 and tries to juke a quicker guy instead of trying to run over them. What is with our run coaching.

QFT!

Lucas makes me think Dwyer should be @ A-Back. Dwyer is a hoss. I just don't know. Lucas knows how to play football though. Wot happened to that other guy that was good during Spring drills? Quincy Kelly? Who was it?

Kelly was in while Dwyer was out I think. Can't remember how many touches he got, but by then we'd pretty much gone away from the inside play.

Anthony Allen... had to sit out this year after the transfer from Louisville

Is this thread a joke? Luke Cox is one of our best A backs.

I was impressed with Cox and hope he gets more touches.

Word has it that Fridgemover and FM2 LOVE Cox. They were allegedly screaming at the field, "GIVE ME MORE COX!!!"

He never said he wasn't one of the best and, as a matter of fact, I happen to know that Lucas is one of his favorite players as was his brother. I know the play he is talking about and indeed Lucas should have kept running straight and just punished the tackler instead of trying to cut inside and slipping down.

It reminded me of a tight end we had in the 70s. Donnie was big, had pretty good speed, and, for a man his size real good agility. He had actually been offered a scholarship to play basketball at Florida. In the Duke game, we threw a pass to him on either third or fourth down and he tried to put a move on a much, much smaller db. He came up just short of the first down and the next day, while watching the film, this was pointed out to him. After that, he made a career out of running over people and went on to play a couple of years in the NFL (although I think he played as an OL). Anyway, the point is, when you've got a good amount of beef on you and a full head of steam, maybe it's best just to unload on the person trying to stop you. Donnie would've got more yardage and, I think in this case, Lucas would have, too.

I think Isaac Newton was probably a football coach on the side.
