Via Twitter: CPJ say Lucas Johnson is being evaluated and may need season ending surgery. Big deal?
 
Kind of - not the worst so long as Marshall stays healthy. He used his redshirt already, so hopefully he can get a medical.
 
Yeah it is a bad thing. Taquan missed the spring game because "he was beat up from last year." One bad hit and we're down to Tobias and Graham. And as much shit as I talk about Taquan, he's probably the less fumble prone of the three.

Taquan? There is no such player with that name on our squadron. If you are referring to TaQuon Marshall, yes. He is our starting quarterback.
 
Suddenly it's bad news that we are down a guy that hasn't even convinced the coach that he should the #2.

Or couldn't show last year that he was a better option at QB than an A-back.
 
The door's still open for Jay if he wants to come back. Really wish these guys would just exercise just a little bit of patience these days because you never know what's going to happen from one day to the next.

I really don't see what kind of better future someone convinced Jay Jones he had by leaving GT

Considering our 2 and 3 are a redshirt and true freshman who have never taken a snap, yes. Any QB injury is bad news. I say throw Graham in if Marshall has trouble.

Maybe Jay Jones sucked and knew it? Or was told he sucked and didn't want to hear it? Or the players thought he sucked and pushed him out? Why assume he would have been in the mix?
 
Saw Lucas at fan day and asked about his injury - said he would be ready in "another 3 to 4". I took it as weeks, as would have figured him saying he was likely to miss the season otherwise. Sounds like it may be worse than expected.
Also of note, talked with Graham at the WR table, and he said he was being moved back to QB due to the injury.

I know, CSB.
