Once again, Chan snubbed those of us in attendence. Wes said that he'd likely show up at the lunch before the FSU game. Coach Brooks showed up for what was a very brief lunch.

Recruiting:
We are recruiting all over the place, mainly Texas, Alabama, and Georgia. Also in New Jersey and Ohio. This morning's meeting nailed down which offensive linemen they want to recruit. So far this is the only position they've nailed down.
Mainly looking at recruits that can not only play but handle the academic load, as well.

Coaching
Coach O'Brien will probably be in the press box again this weekend.

Injuries
ACE is back 100%. Fox probably back against NC State. Might see Jermain Hatch get a few carries this weekend. Barring a miracle, Ford is out for the season.

QB
Both will play tomorrow. Bilbo is progressing nicely.

Wes D. did elude to the fact that they are watching the "2 message boards". He mentioned them twice while speaking.

Opponents:
Brooks said that Clemson really gave the game away from the get go last night. He said that if NC State is really as good as everyone says, they would have whooped Clemson 75 to nothing, given the way they (Clemson) were playing.

THANKS for the report. I'm CAUTIOUSLY optimistic about the Jackets and I DO feel we'll see some offensive improvement this week after BOB got up in the box last weekend. Things ARE getting better. How much better remains to be seen.

Still, injuries CANNOT be overlooked and are NOT an excuse. We've been hit HARD there.

Now let's go sting some Hoos!!!

Thanks for the summary. Good to hear they haven't given up recruiting in Georgia. Maybe others on here will bee pleased, yeah right.

BOB in the booth is the right move, glad he finally decided to make a change and also get a better look at the defenses.

Weather to be a factor again tomorrow, so hope we game plan for a sloppy track.

Jackets sting the Hoos!!

THWG!!

It's great to see that Hatch will get some carries - seeing that in your recap caught me off guard. Hopefully, he can regain his Peach Bowl form.

BTW, noone has ever said that the coaching staff has "given up" on recruiting in the state of Georgia. It might be more bothersome that LA and FL weren't mentioned with GA, TX, and AL.

SportsJacket, I don't think that BOB went to the coaches booth of his own volition. CG had suggested he go there before the season began and BOB objected. I think this was more than a suggestion.

Actually, it is Lunch with Football. Coach Gailey has been to one, Coach Wilson has been to two (he replaced O'Brien/Tenuta for one), and Coach Brooks was there today. It is not Lunch with Chan (as it was Lunch with George) and is not being promoted as such.

The elusive Jacket Chan has attented 1 lunch w/ coach so far. From the way Wes was talking, he'll only be attending one more (FSU) this year.

I have to give O'Leary credit for at least trying to go to every one of them.

They must not have told Chan about this when they signed him. Or maybe he's sick. Or maybe he forgot to shave. Or maybe he has a zit ...

I agree with that quote. Clemson played horrible and gave NC State 3 or 4 cheap touchdowns on turnovers and punt blocks and the on-side kick. NC State didn't have to work for many of their points.

Don't get me wrong. I was impressed with NC State, but moreso, I was disappointed in Clemson. They looked horrible and just generally unprepared

Lunch with "coach" is really Lunch with Football. Was said near the start of the season that Coach Gailey wouldn't be attending many. Everyone is critical about everything these days especially on the message boards.

I personally enjoy hearing from different people in the football program. It's not like the Coaches don't have anything to do on Friday before a big game. Not that the fans aren't important.

Have no idea where this rumor that GT is not recruiting the state of GA hard started

. Actually I do, but don't want to make things personal. All the negative speculation on these boards doesn't do the program any good. It's so counter productive. Everyone likes to get on here and complain though. That's the nature of the beast.

Go Jackets! Beat UVA!

There was a sparse crowd today. I figured there would be a few more people considering its homecoming. Given the last two losses and Coach Gailey never attending, I guess I don't blame ya'll tho..

Oh yeah, and Coach Brooks wants everyone to stay on board, don't give up yet. He said that a few times.
