Someone will have to, it seems.

The SEC now has only one team in the top 10 (albeit at the #1 spot), whereas the ACC has 3-- and still 2 in the top 5.
 
The SEC had a great run of everyone fellating them from about the early 2000s until recently.
Hopefully that shit is about over. Other conferences play football, too.
 
I'm thinking of it sort of like NASCAR. There was a moment when suddenly (for some reason) lots of people from very unlikely parts of the country thought NASCAR was cool.
That has finally faded away, and no one gives a shit anymore.
 
Bama is really the only team carrying the torch at this point...but they carry it high.

I really don't think Clemson or FSU can challenge them. We will see who is legit this weekend when Louisville and FSU play.
 
The poll, though, is trying really freaking hard to help the SEC out.

Paul Finebaum was on ESPN this morning. He is impossible to listen to. Such a SEC apologist. He is awful and provides no meaningful insight.

I absolutely think FSU can challenge them. Clemson lost a lot and aren't as good as they were last year. I am not sure Alabama will beat Ole Miss this weekend.
