He just said that Georgia Tech's starter goes out but the backup came in and did an excellent job...:ugh:

I guess was referring to the first few games Shaw was in? The only real mistake he made was that pick, but I will agree he did not play well today.

If we had lost, I would not have placed blame on Shaw so this wasn't meant as a Shaw-bashing thread, but more to show that these "experts" oftentimes don't even watch the games they are giving post-game analysis of. My guess is he knew that Nesbitt went down in the middle of the third and figured that since we held the lead, Shaw must have done a good job like he had in his previous playing opportunities.

It would make sense if he was talking about earlier in the year, but I'm pretty sure he was talking specifically about this game.

If Shaw puts a little more air under that ball, we win 38 - 28. As it stands, I'm happy with 31-28.

Jaybo is one tough s.o.b. Josh could've underthrown that ball. Does the win count?

Guys, this is why Jaybo needs 2-3 series every game... Hope PJ gets it.

The over-arching issue is that Jaybo isn't a good passer right now. Many of those yards against dook were admittedly (he said it in the press conference) plays where he just put it up and Bay Bay made a play for him. Yeah, Nesbitt could have underthrown that ball, but so could Sam Bradford or Graham Harrell. Any QB can underthrow a ball. The question is whether it is more likely to occur with Nesbitt or Shaw. Based on the evidence we have seen on the field, the edge goes to Nesbitt.

I disagree. Nesbitt is the man for the job right now and to replace him in a close game for the sake of getting Jaybo some snaps is a terrible idea.

Guys, if that ball was thrown over the receiver's outside shoulder it would of either been a long gain, or at worse an incompletion. It was a poorly thrown ball on his lone attempt of the game. But, I cannot find fault with Jaybo on the fumble because the defender was on him a nanosecond after the center-QB exchange (piss poor blocking). Josh was simply better this game, but we need both QB's ready to go. In this offense, it is inevitable that the QB will get banged up.

Well, the point is that with BeBe in single coverage all he has to do is put the ball up in the right vacinity. He didn't on that throw, but he throws well enough to be successful in man to man coverage.
