Maryland scares me

Beating Rutgers today didn't alleviate those fears. I called 790 the zone a couple weeks ago after we lost to BC to express my concern over a couple of future games and I mentioned MD as one of them. They just said "pfft, Maryland, you don't need to worry about them." These guys are idiots...

We almost lost to these guys last year at the last second. Luckily MJ came up with two red zone sacks to end the game.

Look at who they have played already: WVU, WF, and Rutgers. They've been up against adversity. We definitely will not intimidate them and they will come to play.

This is a perfect trap game for us.

Beating Rutgers isn't as good as it looks since the Big East is overrated imo, but they are regardless a dangerous team; I still think they win the Atlantic (despite the Wake loss).

You think they beat BC?

BC will go down. They are probably being scrutinized by the officials more for their O Line play ( i.e. HOLDING). They will not be getting away it what they did against us.

Well, I have to say that no one scares me. There is no one on our schedule that we shouldn't beat if we play well. Period.

Isn't that always true? Did UVA scare you? Did BC scare you THAT bad? We can lose to anyone at any time but we can also beat anyone on any given weekend. While this is true for all teams in football, it seems to be more true for us. Nothing is a given.

There's also nobody on our schedule we can't lose to, except maybe Army. Everyone should scare you.

Why would anyone be scared? If you're scared you might lose you shouldn't play the game. Whether we win or lose is normally up to us so who we play isn't that big of a deal to me.

Maryland doesn't 'scare' me --nor does anyone remaining on the GT schedule 'scare' me.

Maryland is a good football team --but so is Georgia Tech. Each and every week from here on out I will simply be more concerned with how 'our' team performs more than I will what 'the other team' is capable of.

By playing up to capabilities, GT can beat every team remaining on the schedule --the flip side of that is if GT does not come ready to play then, with exception to Army (I think), GT can be beaten by every team remaining on the schedule.

For me it's more about Tech and less about the other guy.

Nonsense. Duke is on a par w/Merryland this year. Rutgers and the whole BIG EAST is a joke.

Now, of course, the turtles would like nothing better than to beat us so we will have to quell the threat and SMASH them. Without pity.

No quarter, men. No quarter.

GO TECH! GO JACKETS!! TO HELL WITH MARYLAND!!!

I am glad we beat Clemson, but outside of the TD setup by the blocked punt we only managed to score 6 points and that's with a 145 yard rushing game. Our offense still doesn't look good too many penalties and too many dropped passes.

I agree the offense still has a lot of work to do. But otoh, you play each game differently. If Clemson had made those FGs for example, we would have had to hvae called the game differently.
