I haven't looked in the game thread, but I thought the man deserved a kudos thread. He was running follow / midline pretty well today. 5 ypc, and positive yardage on every play.

I think we'll be in good hands with him going forward.

I thought so, too. Would have liked too see him throw it a bit more for my own curiosity.

Me too but we were moving the ball pretty well so I guess there was no need.
Moving the ball for sure. Still down by double digits and needed bigger chunks quicker. I like his aggressive attitude with the ball in his hands.

I figure CPJ didn't want to risk injuring more people. The injury bug is back with a vengeance.

He was running the offense against a team that was already up by three touchdowns. We'll see what he does against Virginia Tech defense.

Quinlan said that JT had ice on his cheek. It's possible JT had a bad shot to the facemask/neck area instead of a concussion.

Jordan could be good next year, but the play he screwed up the mesh worries me if he plays next week.

You really think this D can stop VT or do you believe Tech can score on every possession?

I don't see the defense getting more than two honest stops by pure happenstance such as a VT WR dropping a 3rd down pass. Any scenario with us winning will need some VT fumbles probably.

He needs to pitch it more though...he only hands off or keeps. We lose the third option with him. On that 4th and 1, pitch man was wide open. They knew he would keep on a QB follow...That was the perfect time to pitch.

I thought his pitches looked pretty good on the rocket toss. How did his reads/pitches look running the option in the spring game? Does anyone remember?

Yes, Rocket toss was fine (designed play), but on the triple option, he seems to not even look or consider pitching. He either gives to BB or keeps himself. And that was true against Vandy and Mercer as well.

Coach told him keep and not pitch so nobody else got hurt.

I will say this, Mills and Jordan will keep us running downhill with hard-nosed running.
