I would guess Auburn (once the inevitable happens) would be landing spot. Ignoring the Temple/CGC connection, would be a get. Dude can win.

I am not surprised.. I find it weird how GMs do bad picks, after bad picks and bad deals after bad deals, yet the coach get fired.... I respect teams like the Steelers that don't fire coaches based on 1 or 2 bad years. That isn't so common any more.

I understand the 2 jobs in college that he held were not the most glamorous. However, I don't get the fascination others have with the guy. He is 47-43 in his career at the collegiate level and took over a Baylor program that was absolutely rolling (on the field). I think hiring the guy will blow up in our face royally. At the end of the day he is no better than Brent Key whatsoever.

You literally don’t know what you are talking about to reference the Baylor job that way.

Also, he literally had the best 2 year run in the history of Temple football.

I wish Key had his experience and resume.
A better comparison would be Chan Gailey.

Most college coaches just don’t do well as NFL head coaches. I suppose Rhule didn’t forget how to coach. Saban didn’t do well in the NFL either.

This. His body of work at Temple and Baylor is unassailable. He will land squarely on his feet somewhere in the P5 college ranks.

We have our QB in kenny I want us to get will anderson and roquan smith in the offseason

He’s getting paid not to work. He’s not going to come here.

I think Tomlin is a hell of a coach... He is greatly undervalued.
Steeler fans hate him I love him the OC is worse than Pnut so that's a start got to get rid of him I want us to hire mark whipple since he won't be at nebraska and kenny and him click well

Tomlin is a terrible coach who has benefited from a really strong front office/ownership and had a HOF QB under center for the entirety of his career. He is extremely mediocre in game and regularly gets beat by better coaches with inferior talent.

11 wins, 11 wins, 10 wins 7 wins leading up to taking over the program, GTFOH.

The Steelers haven't had a season where they finished under .500 in eighteen years, so they haven't had an opportunity to fire a coach based on a bad year lately.

It will be interesting to see if Tomlin survives this season if it ends up being a bad one, which is certainly the way it's heading.
