absolutely demolished UNC's starting MLB, Jonathan Smith. That is all.

I'd like to see him in short yardage again but im sure TaQuan has been so effective in short yardage that coach doesnt want to mess with a winning formula.

No way. TM has been awesome in short yardage. He's slippery in the same way that Nesbitt was, wriggling out of tackles and spinning for 2-3 extra yards just about every time. He's also not afraid at all of lowering his shoulder when needed.

He also likes to turn his back to the tackle a lot which scares the hell out of me.

The elusiveness of Thomas with the hard nosed running of Nesbit and yet a beyond his playing experience knowledge of how to read the option.

Yes

We left him unblocked, so it looks like that was the play call. "Fake dive, run over the outside linebacker on one."

What was that play? We blocked both the playside DT and DE so apparently wasn't an option call despite the mesh. Looks like it was a called QB follow that was meant to go inside but they blitzed both LBs into our gap so he took it outside to other unblocked LB. DC defensed the play very well. OLB not so much.

I think the LG just messed up. I think that was a freshman. MJ should have changed the play to triple to the right. Would have been a walk in. Watching him truck that guy was more fun though, so IIWII.

It was a solid run and I do love it but it was a VERY hungry FRESH QB vs a VERY tired and disinterested LB.

Well there was certainly one play where he did this, but it was clear he was looking for the pitch and held it realizing it was covered. Otherwise, he does get crushed in the option game more than others. Would like to see him do some fake pitches to lessen contact on his keeps. On the pitches, he can attack the read key more directly and actually get crushed less because he'll get the defender to commit to him earlier and can pitch the ball with time to protect himself.
