That was HUGE! No, one play doesn't make a game but it'll öööö sure set the tone. They had 14 points off turnovers plus another 7 off that bonehead maneuver. Geesh

I haven't watched the second half.....should I?

+1, Duke is not a juggernaut and in my opinion not the better team. They just wanted it more today(that was obvious) and were smarter and had ZERO mental mistakes while GT had 1,000 mental mistakes. That's the recipe for a loss no matter the talent difference/similarities.

Is that what you got from that game? Because the game I saw had us making really dumb mistakes, playing against the refs, with Duke coming out and executing a great plan on offense while receiving some pretty lucky breaks. Other than injuries, this game went about as bad as it could go for us and we still hung in there until the end. Against a team that is actually better than us, it would have been a 28 point blowout.

We win 7 out of 10 against this Duke team, easy. We're definitely a better team, we just screwed it up today.
 
Guys. We're 5-1. With wins over Miami and VT. We got a competitive athletic quarterback and a decent offensive line who had a bad day. We had the worst refereeing I've ever seen in person against GT. Get off the ledge. There's no reason this can't be a special season. No need to be a whining vagina about it. And öööö the whole if this team loses to Duke how's it gonna beat uga and Clemson crowd. Today, if anything, proves that college football doesn't have transitive property. Because I doubt many of you expected to see this team beat Miami and VT then lose to Duke.

We gave the game away today. We were gonna do that at some point anyway. This team excels through hard work and outsmarting the opponents. I have yet to see us win decisively with the worldbeaters attitude. Good thing that's taken care of, we can move on.

Onwards and upwards. UNC next.

Um, I don't think us losing to Duke makes the game more important. You can only claim that when Duke ACTUALLY makes it to Charlotte over a tiebreaker with us.

Riiiight.

Duke is not gonna do any better than 5-3 in conference even WITH their bullshit schedule. They're an average team. Hell, it wouldn't shock me if they end up 3-5 or 4-4. They had a LOT of luck to win the Coastal last year and a LOT of luck to beat us today.

IMO we are still in the drivers seat, even if we lose to Clemson (which looks better now w/ Watson hurt).
 
So there is still hope we could win a ööööty division in an even öööötier conference, only to get boat raced by FSU & go to the Belk Bowl! yay..so happy right now.
