Interestingly, we did get four votes to win the Coastal.

Atlantic Division
(First-place votes in parenthesis)

Clemson – 1,028 (146)
NC State - 804 (1)
Boston College - 638
Florida State - 510
Wake Forest - 472
Louisville - 462
Syracuse - 202

Coastal Division
(First-place votes in parenthesis)

North Carolina - 979 (109)
Miami - 881 (28)
Virginia Tech - 582 (3)
Pitt - 576 (1)
Virginia - 540 (2)
Georgia Tech - 340 (4)
Duke - 218

And outside of the predicted division winners, only four schools got any votes to win the ACC Championship:

Miami - 3
Virginia - 1
Georgia Tech - 1
NC State - 1

I changed the font to blue if its a team we play. Plus Notre Dame and the dwags. Tough schedule this year.

Is it still a thing that you have to win 6 to go to a bowl? Do our first two games (Northern IL and Kennesaw St) count? Seems a 6 win season is possible but the margin for error is zero.

No where to go but up - the only other direction is Duke. We aren’t going to Duke this year.

BC is a pretty trendy pick to be good this year. Our crossover games are not going to be easy.

I just want to point out that we got more first place votes than the 3 teams in front of us. Which is very interesting. Some folks are on the juice train!!

I just want to know who those 4 people are and to learn what drugs/booze they are taking. The price is about to go up in the ATL. Not that I’m hating! I like the cut of their Jib.

I'm kind of hoping they are people closer to the program than you or I likely are and know something we don't.

If we so much as make a bowl game, I'll be impressed. The schedule is brutal this year.

If KSU and NIU count and we take Duke, we need three more from the rest. Ruling out CU/ND/dwags, that requires winning 3 of 5 from UNC, the 2 Virginia schools, UM and BC.

Seems possible but cannot drop any games we are favored in.

Yes, it's 6 wins to make a bowl and you get to count 1 FCS game toward that total. That would be KSU. Northern Illinois is Group of 5 FBS.

Agree that we will have to win when we're favored and pretty much all the tossups. An upset would be nice, too.

So for the Studio audience, KSU is FCS but NIU is FBS?

NIU may not win a game this year if they are as bad as I think they are going to be.

Yeah, I went back and edited to clarify. Northern Illinois is in the MAC. They actually played in the Orange Bowl in 2013. No clue what they look like right now, but expect to beat them handily, regardless.

If there’s a year to bet on us at long odds this is the one.

- Clemson is one hit on DJU away from trotting out a walk on at QB

- UNCs defense is still trash and they’re replacing all their skill players

- Miami is hanging their hopes on a DTQB coming off December acl surgery

- FSU is still expected to be down

- Our roster is more talented than anybody outside of Atlanta seems to realize (should be ranked 5th or 6th when those numbers come out for 2021).

Maybe whoever picked us to make some noise was looking at these potential opportunities.

Pretty sure that both our staff and our roster are pretty hungry and desperately want to make some noise.

And I just can't take UNC seriously. I just can't.

Why is NC State getting so much love??

I think it’s just that somebody has to get hyped up in the void that FSU has left in the Atlantic. State is almost a default given that they’ve actually recruited pretty well lately.

Meh. The coastal sucks. We are not finishing 6th. If we can be mediocre we can finish top 3. If we can be above average we can win it.
