So if NC State and North Carolina suck, you have no problem lowering your standards and inviting someone else. I hope Clemson and Tech turns them down in this event. BC is screwed out of this bowl for all eternity.

I hope we end the ACC relationship with this scum. The two Carowhina schools won't allow it because they can always win 6 and get their local bowl.

We should invent a bowl called the GT/Clemson bowl and play it at either GT or Clemson. If one of us doesn't get the bowl invite we wish, we just play at our stadium and invite USF, Rutgers, or UConn.

The hypocrisy with these bowls is incredible. Does that then mean that GT becomes the Peach Bowl's team of choice because we would bring 45,000 everytime. Of course not. It doesn't work that way. What a joke.

It's really simple I think. The Greensboro boyz have, are, and will always be about what is best for the raleigh-durham schools. Everybody else in this regional club conference is used as an investment for the eastern nc. wussies that make their own rules.

Oh yeah, I hate the acc.

You know of course that we will NEVER sever the relationship the ACC has with this bowl until Raycom sells it. Raycom owns the Meineke Bowl and they are the single biggest corporate partner of the ACC. They are the reason why our basketball television contract is the most lucrative one that any conference has.

This means that the ACC will do just about anything this bowl wants and Raycom knows it.

Amen, pocket_watch!

If Charlotte inisists on choosing a UNC or NC State when they are the seventh or eigth best team, I say fine. Let them have seventh or eighth in the picking order.

Then, we could work toward a bid to another decent bowl in the southeast, give them Charlotte's place in the picking order, and get rid of Boise or the Nut Bowl.

The two problems are:
1. We cannot afford to have one of our better bowl slots
given to such a provincial bowl that prefers a 6-5 and 3-5 local team to a 7-4, 5-3 team. Push them down the order and there will be no complaints.
2. Two of our eight bids make absolutely no sense - San Francisco and Boise. How many Pac 10 teams have automatics with bowls in the southeast? As soon as possible we need to get out of one or both of these tie ins. Mobile, Memphis,
Tampa, New Orleans, Shreveport, Orlando, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio - all would be improvements.
