Spent Labor Day cleaning out my basement and not watching football. I found two gems from my childhood….a GT painters cap with the old T and my t-shirt from the 1985 All-American Bowl. I think I got the cap at homecoming the same year. If I recall correctly, we took an RV to the AAB. We stopped at a convenient store and my dad bought me a similar Skoal logo painters cap. I thought I was the coolest redneck this side of Birmingham…which of course I was.

All hail Todd Rampley!

I still have the VHS tape of that game and watch it from time to time.

I was at the All-American bowl - was buddies with Ken Parker and Glenn Spencer - good times they were. Good times.

I have the equivalent T-shirt from that bowl game, and I think I have it on VHS too
