Somebody print this out and take it to Tony...

Tony, fate has dealt you a difficult blow. You must be feeling really down now. You need to know how absolutely incredible we know you have done this year. You had to overcome adversity and doubt to even get the chance to run the ball.

Now you must overcome more adversity and doubt to recover. But now you must know that we ALL believe in you... take your time and get well, work hard to recover and come back next year to have a season for the ages... You have not been cast aside to fail, you have merely been thrown a new obstacle to overcome, and as all great ones must, you will overcome it and be stronger and wiser for it.

Remember, "there is no progress without conflict"...

Tony, you could have come out after the first injury, but you stuck in there and gave 110%. Thanks for all you have done this year and get well. I tore my ACL and it was hard but I worked hard and got back. Pull your guys together and give Ace some confidence. Hang in there and know we all love ya. Sincerely, Your Loyal Fans.
Go Jackets!

It will be interesting because now we will find out the character of this team. From the loss to Clemson, to Albert Poree and Hobie Holiday leaving the team. From Greg Gathers to Tony Hollings. THis team must respond in a big way if we are going to go up to Kenan Satdium and beat a good UNC team. It's hard to win in Chapel Hill. We really need Suggs to get going. I hate to say it, but a lot more pressure will now be on the passing game. And if Suggs goes 11 for 26 and 3 picks vs. UNC, we will lose. If Ace can get 75 to 90 yards, I think that's pretty much all we can ask for from the fifth string back. And P.J Daniels maybe 30 to 45 yards if he sees the field. It's topught to put true freshman into the spotlight like that in the offensive backfield and on the D line. Eric Henderson, Reuben Houston, good ballgame Sat. We must come together if we wwant to have a good season.

One more question to all you rule gurus.
Unless I'm wrong, Tony will not be able to apply for a medical hardship will he? Is the cutoff to qualify for a hardship 3 games, like Joe Burns in 1999? Anyway, thanks. See you guys down Tobacco Road.

TONEY, Get well soon! I torm my ACL on the leg I had polio in and the operation was a success so I know if I can do you can as well we all love you here at Tech. We can sure use you next year. Work had and come back.
