they feel their offensive line can dominate ANYONE in the country. WOW...He also says he has one of the best running back combos in the country. He is quoted in the Miami herald as saying this. (See the ACC Espn Blog)

I know that Miami has accumalated a ton of talent the last few years and are extremely young, but do any of you think they have a chance Sat. Night ? Wouldn't that be sweet for the ACC if they pulled the upset Sat. against UF ? I feel Miami is one year off, lucky ole gators, I think they don't play again for awhile after this year.

Miami has dominated UF forever it seems. (last 6 games a win for the Canes) Does Miami start their comeback to glory this year?
Miami is starting a QB with ZERO experience and his 1st collegiate game in the swamp, do they have a chance? I do think it is closer than what some think.

What say you?

I think it will be close for the first half, but Florida will pull away in the end. Florida is a powerhouse, and Miami is a few steps behind. Give it another year, and Miami should be back to their normal form. There's just too much talent in Florida for Miami not to be huge.

There's no chance that they come out of the swamp with a win (ok maybe a 5% chance, but still).

That being said, if I were a betting man, I'd take the 22 points and run with it. I can't see Miami laying down and getting beat by 3+ TDs.

Ordinarily I would say your right, but, IF Miami has a dominating Oline, that may negate this theory in that the Oline dominates and Miami keeps the ball away from Tebow and their offense. If Miami is to win, they need to win the time of possession and keep Tebow on the bench or injure him early :laugher: and thus have him playing on one leg like he was in the ugag game last year, giving ugag their only chance at winning.

If Miami has an up and coming Ray Lewis who stalks Tebow the whole game, they may keep it within a couple of touchdowns.

I think it much more probable however, that Miami gets down a few td's and then quits.

Randy Shannon is a miserable coach and their OC as we all know is miserable as well. FSU has tons of talent too but they have been brutal as of late due to poor coaching. I feel bad that they think Jimbo Fisher is the answer. I predict a UF blowout but that is why they play the games I guess?

The same OLine that our DLine has owned the last few years?

That is the game in my betting pool that I am debating. Win....of course not. 21 point spread?......S#!t!!!!

I think Shannon can be a decent coach, but he picked the wrong guy at OC. Unfortunately, he will get fired and someone will walk in and win with the talent he has assembled. Just like Ron Zook and Ty Willingham. Amazing that Juniors and Seniors do things that Freshmen and Sophomores can't.

As an aside, I don't think a coach has to be very good to win at Miami, FSU, or Florida. The coach just needs a QB. A serviceable QB wins 9-10 games at those schools. A good QB wins championships. PERIOD.

I'd say that Miami has a chance, but to come out and say that their O-Line can dominate anyone? Florida's secondary is suspect, and if they can limit Florida's offense, they might have a chance. Then again, Patrick Nix could show up and stink the place out.

I think Shannon is really putting his neck out there with a statement like this. If Miami lays another goose egg, as they've been apt to do the past few years, this turns the heat up on him.

I have full faith that Nix will wait for their O Line to start clicking, then chuck the ball downfield with 30 yd fade routes 3 times in a row.

I hope Coach Shannon has a small foot considering where its gonna be parked all next week.

"Dominate anyone in the country." Sounds like he hired 20oz to write his soundbytes.

The dominating O-Line wont matter too much when they are running reverses on 3rd and 1 and throwing hail mary passes all game.

Miami will get run!

Miami's biggest problem is their Head Coach. They are in for 5 to 6 years of going nowhere.

Go Jackets!

miami is much faster this year than in the last few years.
What does that even mean? They're always fast and this year is no different (see NFL draft and success of those players in the show). Their problem the last few years is their Oline couldn't block and their QBs couldn't hit the ocean.

Are you saying they're now fast enough to evade the police where in years past they couldn't?

No that would really really suck...the Gators are due for a win against UM anyways. The last time UF beat UM was last century.
Maybe good for the ACC, but to hell with the ACC when it comes to this game!
