Thank you for that link! What an enjoyable read, and just like you should be gloating about CG's well earned and new respect, I am extremely pleased to see the High School star system of recruiting take a big one in the ear.

Not that I need to see the Miam-ah faithful doubt Rivals and the other so called experts, but it does make it all the more satisfying.

With all the upsets this year, the "gurus" must be getting nervous!

Nah, we do not have the talent that Miami has but then Miami today is nothing like the old (mid 90s) Miami. The talent difference between elite programs like Miami and good programs like Tech is much closer than 20 or even 10 years ago. Top shelf players today may still be attracted to an elite program but those one notch below that can read a depth chart and likely as not may not care to warm the bench for 2 years. Perhaps some of you will recall a few years ago when FSU had an absolute embarassment of riches at linebacker with Parade All Americans like Derrick Brooks going 2 deep. Well, there was a guy from Tampa who was a mere All State player who disappointed Florida and Auburn among others by signing with the Noles, the guy was undoubtably talented but never got to play meaningful downs. That kind of thing has become much less common as kids look for PT.

And we can be the beneficiary of those situations because we're still in the South, will play their hometown team twice 'back home' and they'll get a chance to show them what they missed.
