Miami talks about the option...

They plan on tackling everyone high, because they think they'll get turnovers...wow.

So, on the flip-side, if you don't strip the ball, Dwyer's carrying you for another 6-7 yards coach? Sounds good to me...

Tackling Dwyer high on the dive could lead to a lot of big gains. It should also help out our oline (getting low) if the DL is trying to stay high.

Shannon is a good DC though, so we'll see how things play out at gametime.

Weird.

Every week the other coaches say it's easy to defend, and every week they talk about doing something entirely differently in practice against it.

It's strange.

Boy do they sound a bit cocky. Great! I love it! I hope they come in to BDS with that swagger. Just rush to the ball and tackle up high! Great strategy, Shannon. Good luck!

Word is that Richt's strategy for next week is to have his defense tackle backwards. To unify the team with the fans, he's requested that all attendees spend the game facing away from the field for a special BackOut.

UM has won 5 in a row.

They are not worried about us at all.

Perfect.

The first part of Randy Shannon's statement is correct about assignment football. Then he talks about everyone chasing the ball which is exactly what you do NOT want to do because you are always guess where the ball is.

I noticed that FSU tried to do the same thing to us. They had a lot of high, ugly tackles. It didn't work then, and I hope it doesn't work now.

If they choose to tackle high all night, it's going to be a long game for the Canes.

ROFL, nice.

"If guys are doing their job and playing assignment football, you'll be successful.... You have to have everybody chasing the football. If you don't, you're going to have a tough time."
Isn't "assignment" football and "everybody chasing the ball" two completely opposite things?

This is a match up of unranked ACC team vs. the highest ranked team in the ACC. Being the unranked ACC team should guarantee victory.

If I have to listen to one more person refer to our offense as "The Wishbone" I'm going to kill someone. Its not the GD wishbone. The wishbone is a triple option formation. We do not run the wishbone.
