Going into Saturday's game I am concerned with Miami's stellar defensive numbers against the run.
The Hurricanes defense has given up 63 yards rushing per game (2.3 per carry).
However, here's how Miami's D-1A opponents thus far rank nationally in rushing offense:
#7---Louisville.........216 yards per game
#67--Houston..........132
#85--N. Carolina......117
#95--Florida St........102
#114-Florida Int'l.......73
#117-Duke...............71
While I am still concerned with their defense against the run, these numbers certainly reveal that, with exception to Louisville, Miami really has not faced a team with a good running attack.
GT's rushing offense ranks #29 with 170 yards per game.
