I'm married to a 5th generation Ohio State alum. Her dad played football AND was on the 1945 NCAA golf champs, before going to med school...her grandfather played and ended up being dean of the OSU med school, her "little" brother played, starting in the OL for his last two years. Her great grandfather didn't play but did graduate 1st in his class and then became a surgeon while at the same time building and operating the 1st hospital in Toledo.
Needless to say, a certain part of me has been affected by proximity osmosis (and a desire for a happy home) and the words "go bucks" have been known to come out of my mouth. (I wonder how Terrelle Prior would look running CPJ's offense.... scary, scary thought!)
My point is this: Michigan fans are by and large mouth breathing whining self proclaimed elitists that know just about next to nothing about football, i.e.:
reporter to 2007 UM RB Mike Hart.. "Mike, you said that you came back your senior year and passed on the NFL draft to get a final shot at Ohio State, how do you feel about that decision now"... to which Hart replied "They were lucky again, but wait till next year when I'm not running on a bad ankle"... Hart was a senior.... it was his last game....they lost again.. .the UM crowd surrounding him during the interview loudly chanted their approval and patted him on the back... obviously, they just don't get it, so when we see their allegiance being sold on ebay, it's not a surprise to those of us who have observed their behavior for the past 40 years, it's just another extension of their cultural vapidity that they demonstrate on too many occasions..... let me sum it up this way....UM fans are just about bad enough to be regarded as the uga fans of the north...only the colors are different.....
