Just did a quick google search of their boards and perused the first 3 I saw and not much chatter at all from the baby blues. The most I've seen is a few single entry posts with links to articles about our game, all with no replies. One pretty funny thing I did find was one post titled and linked to an article about "UNC-GT: Matchup to Watch." The only two replies to the topic were these:

1 - "Better have a strong stomach if you watch."

2 - "After this one we may end up having to suit up lacrosse and soccer players."

I hate these games where the opposing team's fans feel they have no shot at beating us and many of us feel the same. They always end up being much tougher than planned and many losses have come from them. I also hate that this is the week that the coaches wear that stupid patch on their sleeve for whatever coaches foundation it is representing. I'm superstitious as öööö and I would love to see our record in these games because I can remember shitting the bed on several occasions when it's "sleeve-patch-weekend."

Based on the injuries and loss of talent, this game is one of the closer ones to "in the bag" that I would put for the rest of the season in conference/division (slating Duke and Wake as unknown commodities at 8-0 thus far). I am very happy with our schedule, particularly the extra rest we have added. Let's get UNC and then get uber focused for Miami. Both these games are critical for winning the coastal. If we can get these next two, 3-0 in division with winnable games against Duke and VT at home puts us in the drivers seat.

Edit: I keep forgetting about UVA. They have been a thorn in our side, but I think they are closer to the bottom than the top of the division.

Superstition ain't the way. I abandoned all superstition on September 20, 2014 in Blacksburg, VA.

If you don't abandon superstition, you'll be forever miserable. I blamed myself for years over the Gailey era.
Oh I'm with you. I've tried to get that monkey off my back for some time now, and I'm much less superstitious than I used to be. However, my curiosity got the better of me and I just had to look. I now feel worse looking to years forward, but much better about this week. Here is how we've fared every week that is "Coach to Cure MD" week since its inception in 2008:

2008 - September 27 - Off week - Won the week before and after against Mississippi State and Duke
2009 - September 26 - UNC - W 24-7
2010 - September 25 - NC State - L 45-28
2011 - September 24 - UNC - W 35-28
2012 - September 29 - MTSU - L 49-28
2013 - September 28 - VT (Thu 9/26) L 17-10
2014 - September 27 - Off week - Won the week before and after against VT and Miami
2015 - September 26 - Duke - L 34-20
2016 - September 24 - Clemson (Thu 9/22) L 26-7

So we've only won 2 of the 7 games we've played on this week. 2 years we were off and had win the week before and after. The only two wins were vs UNC. So, good that we play UNC this weekend, bad for seasons to come.

Oh, I have been looking for someone to blame for the Gailey-era. Thread delivers.

You better get your mind rite.

What I see is that we've played UNC twice on patch day, and beaten them two straight times. Bout to be three straight.

Or you could, you know, grow a pair of balls and not be such a bitch.

Oh, I totally expect to boat race them back to Chapel Hill, but I always look to find dumb-ass reasons why we lose. You know, because we don't just ööööing lose, something else has to cause it. So if we for some reason do, it will be this.

Cleanse your mind of superstitions. Submit your soul to the power of Dodd and believe the boys are gonna have 700 yards of offense on the tarholes tomorrow.
