and he somewhat implied that if not for the "extra" bowls the acc got a tie in with (not sure I understand all that crap) then GT might not have gone to a bowl at all.

swofford and the mafia only care about 5 teams. Screw them all.

GT beating Auburn andplaying ugag every year means squat to the acc. ncsu beating MTSU is fantastic to the acc. finishing 3rd in the acc will mean nothing.

He said swofford has no control over who the bowls select. I asked why, then, were so many ncsu fans up in arms just 10 days ago about swofford trying to influence the Peach Bowl to take BC? No answer. (and BC did not get the Peach bid after all the mafia complaining.)
 
I posted on here earlier what the thought was if the SEC (Music City) and Pac 10 (Emerald) would have filled their respective bowl slots. Where would GT have ended up?

That's unbelievable! ...but yet believable after we've seen how both GT and BC have been treated. Allowing the selection of two (not one, but two!) 3-5 teams to bowls ahead of two 5-3 teams (one who defeated Auburn, Miami and played the SEC champs down to the wire) just renders the regular season in the ACC as almost meaningless.

I had heard that Finn was a likely culprit as swoffords hench man.
How long was finn sid at Tech? It must not have been a mutually rewarding departure for him.

Tex, if you are embellishing only a little here, its enough proof to know that we are not welcome in this conference.
It took me a long time to get on board with "pull for your conference brothers". As of now, I will go back to cheering for who I want.
RTP + UHoo are 4 teams that I now want to lose every time they put their sports bras on. My only confusion will come when 2 of these teams play each other.

If you are making this up, why would you do that? Please supply proof.
 
Was Finn positioned to be the fall guy with O'Leary's resume reconstruction in the GTAA Sports Guide? That would have pissed him off enough to seek revenge. Just asking, can't remember exactly when some folks exited the AA during the AD transition.
 
Mike was gone I believe. Mike is a great guy and loves GT very much. I saw him a few months ago and he always asks about all the old guys.
 
You can believe me or not, and remember I said he "somewhat implied" and I stand by that. And go back to the ncsu boards and read all the complaining about swofford trying to get BC to the Peach. If he has not control, what are they complaining about, and if the mafia has no control, then what happened with BC to the Peach?

And know this to, I have NO idea how to copy, paste, cut, transplant, circumsize, vector, triangulate, vaporize, beam up or whatever the heck it is you do to move an article from one place to the other on this machine!! Also, sorry for sounding so skeptical. That wasn't the intent regardless of how I worded it.
I am just dumbfounded that he/they would take the angle of ..be happy about what you got. Unbelievable to be so brazen about it.

I agree a 5-3 record should get picked before a 3-5 but we did lose to both teams. If GT would have handled it's business as it should have we would not be contemplating this. I think we should blow off the emerald bowl, call up Tenn. (i hear they won't be doing much this christmas) and tell them to meet us at BDS Jan. 1st and bring about 15 to 20k fans with them. Surely some television station would be interested in that. Heck we could call it the ACC/SEC smackdown bowl. I'll contribute a little $ to come up with a Dodd/Neyland trophy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drink1.gif
 
I like Krazie's idea. Shoot, see if you can't get the 'Nooga to throw up some money to host it.

Love it, and a trophy too which brings that Big Ten artificial sense of rivalry into the picture and makes an argument for traditionalists to continue playing the game in future years, I think is a great idea!
