Mike Shula enters the Dolphins coaching hunt

The idea of bringing Shula back to the franchise has been kept under wraps because the team wanted to gauge if he was indeed a legitimate candidate for the job. Having had two interviews, he apparently is.

I don't know what to believe anymore ...guess this happens when you get wrapped up in 'speculation'.

Is it just me, or is anyone else going crazy trying to keep up with all this (mis)information?

It Sounds To Me

like a lot of coach's agents are working overtime.

Almost all the garbage misinformation out there starts in an agent's office as they hype their client.

And, for the record, rumors that Techbert was flown down to Miami last night are neither confirmed nor denyed. The theory that Techbert is the most recent candidate for the Miami, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Atlanta, and New England jobs are only partially correct. One man's opinion:

Greg Cote -Miami herald

Speculation, indications, reports, rumors, suppositions, tea leaves and today's Miami Herald now suggest the Dolphins' next head coach will be Jim Mora or Chan Gailey.

That was until a recently posted Herald online report indicated the club had interviewed Mike Shula for the job.

For what's worth, the Shula development sounds to me like a professional courtesy to enhance Mike's stature and chances of landing work elsewhere. It sounds like a nod to Big Daddy Don Shula and to Mike's friendship with Dolphins president Bryan Wiedmeier.
