Just heard Mikell has been moved to from A-backs group to WR. I remember him showing some flashes of potential last year (UNC game comes to mind) so I was curious why he was moved. Being an optimist like I am this would seem to be a great sign for 2016 and our A backs must be hella deep. It also gives us a shifty player to throw the rock to if he gets reps as a wideout

Interesting move to say the least, particularly since he's not really a prototypical CPJ WR at 5'11. Either we're super deep at AB or depleted at WR.

I think I know the answer. :scared:

I'm interested to see how our wideouts progress if JT has more than 0.5 seconds to receive the ball from the center and throw it before getting introduced to the turf.

From what I can gather, it's a combination of being stacked at A-back as well as MLD having great hands (go back and watch TD catch vs UNCheat last year).

Could be (complete speculation here) that CPJ is looking for someone with a smaller frame who can accelerate more quickly. Time will tell based on how many targets he gets.

Have you heard of Usain Bolt?

Can't say I have, tell me more.

Joking of course I've heard of him. Would be awesome to have him on the team. He's also 6' 5" but a little thin to be a WR (207#).

He would have more time if he didn't turn the wrong way after receiving the snap

I thought we had a bumper crop of Freshman WR ready to step up and become superstars?

All of CPJ's QBs have done the spin-to-the-left-first-after-taking-the-snap (since they've all been RH). I have no clue why they do this but it's not just JT5.

Maybe he's good at blocking.

YES!

I have it on good authority that Mikell has really good hands. Catches the ball extemely well. There is tremendous depth at AB. Clinton Lynch, Quay Searcy and JJ Green appear to be the strongest here. Lynn Griffin is lightning in a bottle. Behind that you have Omhari Jarrett, Isiah Willis and Nate Cottrell. Thats a lot of bodies.

Mikell will not be a jump ball receiver at his height but he will be really good on designed routes with his speed and hands. This all assumes JT has time to
properly deliver a ball while the route develops.

This GIF will never not amuse me. Even better than the guy who's celebrating is the kid (presumably his) who is completely stoic.

What a time to be alive.
that guy celebrating is a poster on here and i think he said that's not his kid and that kid had been asleep and the interception roar woke him up and he was a bit dazed.
