Lots of posts on here bout Jaybo, CPJ, and the such, but not for Michael Johnson.
There have been posts talking about him needing to step up. Done.

I have not seen a player dominate more at his position as Calvin Johnson at receiver. He made an impact on almost every single play he was in.

I had a great view of the field goal block as I was almost even with the D line, and the way he was hovering over the line, pumped up, and visually barking and yelling at MSU made it obvious that he was going to block it, and he did.
He is always the first player off the field, and you feel it when he is coming in. Their QB knew he was there and he was a split second away from having about 5 sacks.

I guess what I am trying to say, is that Michael Johnson is beast. :wow::eek5::wow:

I got the exact same feeling. I was basically looking down the line of scrimmage from where I was.

You could see our front line crouched and ready to puch, and right behind them stood a beast who you knew was about to jump 47 feet into the air and stuff the ball back down.

Home games he is a beast. Hopefully he can take all that fearlessness on the road consistantly.

I think the biggest difference with him was the opponent's offense. The first 3 games featured QBs that could run if the pocket collapsed. That changes how and when ends can rush. He is blessed as a pass rusher and against drop back passing teams, he can be a dominant presence. Fortunately for NFL scouts, there aren't many Dual threat QBs in the league, so from a pure pass rusher standpoint he can be a major weapon.

i will never get mad at him for another facemask penalty...i never reolized he was such a giant....i guess a normal knock down to most players is a facemask penalty to (against) him....

He blocked the field goal WITH HIS FACE.

That's insane.

I thought I heard him say in the postgame interview that he thought he actually might be able to CATCH the FG block.

Simply put, the man is a beast.
