According to the AJC, Jahi Word-Daniels may miss the entire season with an injury sustained in practice today.

This is terrible coming from a secondary that lost 3 starters from last year and now will be missing two players that would have played substantially in the fall. It looks like Roberson may be next in line to man CB duties.

Personally, I am hoping that the MRI on his knee comes back w/ only a slight injury (at least something) that w/ some rehab and minor scope surgery would be good to go come late summer. HOPEFUL, we don't need to lose anymore guys to injury especially to the back field.
KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!

Re: BS!

Just suppose to read about it & not talk about it?

Or is that sarcasm?

Re: BS!

FUNNY we can't talk about it but anyone that does more than read the comics in the AJC knows about it.....and I quote (from the AJC today):
Add Jahi Word-Daniels to the growing list of Georgia Tech football players hurt this spring.
Word-Daniels, a rising sophomore cornerback, underwent an MRI on Wednesday to diagnose an injury that could sideline him this fall, Tech coach Chan Gailey said.

SOUNDS like an KNEE injury to me???? Looks like a chicken, walks like a chicken, acts like a chicken.... it's a chicken.

I stepped out on a limb slightly but I think it's a safe bet...don't know the extent of injury nor am I wishing this on our team~ hey you wanna know another secret just b/w me and you??? sshhh...I'm gonna whisper this one too....ZAM IS LEAVING....in THE AJC TOO right under article titled FREDERICK LEAVING JACKETS....don't talk about it though just look for him on someone elses bench next year.... and I quote (ajc)"Mindful that his playing time figured to decrease next fall with the arrival of highly touted point guard Javaris Crittenton, Georgia Tech sophomore Zam Fredrick will transfer after this semester.

Tech coach Paul Hewitt confirmed that he and Fredrick met Thursday and agreed on the move, but declined further comment other than a statemen

Enough said....GO JACKETS /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drink1.gif

Re: BS!

OK so if it's not true you set the AJC straight....and let us all know what is REALLY going on....Perhaps the true article is written the National Inquirer. OK so let us in on your source & give us the REAL scoop....Just curious how it is different than it reads.

Yes, I've been hearing rumblings as well that this might not be as bad as originally thought. Remember last year, when we were supposed to be out IIRC Anoai as well as Richards for the whole season? He ended having a relatively minor injury and started against Auburn.

Re: BS!

It is not a matter of believing "everything" one reads.

Where did the decree come from that we are not suppose to talk about it?

Re: BS!

Sarcasm mostly. Too tough to talk about and I'm sure the team wants to make the official annc.

Tough, tough deal for JWD. If it's not too bad he might make it back by the Fall. Football is a rough sport. We really should keep the team in our thoughts and prayers which I'm sure you all do (except the buzzoff clowns).

Re: BS!

He'll be 100% within 30 days. As I pm'd ramblin he wanted to play in the scrimmage but they held him out as a precaution.
