In '98 we beat Wake to clinch a share of the ACC title. Not only that but Kofi Smith returned a fumble something like 75-80 yards for a TD. I was really happy for Kofi.

I'll never forget Sean Gregory getting into his
first game against Wake Forest. He ran all over
the Deacons and added insult to injury in a blow
out game.

I remember a Wake Forest game from back in the mid-80s when Curry was coaching. We were ahead and just scored a TD.
We lined up for the kickoff and the kicker just plain missed kicking the ball deep. His kick was a low line drive that hit one of the front Wake special team players in the head. The ball bounced back toward the Tech guys and we fell on it!
I don't remember driving the score after that, but it was a strange play. I remember Al Ciraldo asking Curry in the locker room if that was planned and Curry said no.

Coach Sansabelt also coached us out of the Bluebonnet Bowl in his last year. What a bummer.

I've been racking my brain trying to come up with my most memorable Wake Forest football moment and the only one I can think of is the disappointing game in '99 when we lost 26-23 where our comeback attempt fell a little short.
Can anyone help me with some positive Wake Forest memories. There must be some when we lead the all-time series 18-6. Didn't Dez have a game against Wake where he returned 2 punts (or KOs) for TDs?

I too remember the game in which we killed Wake('98?). While trying to run out the clock Sean Gregory actually carried the ball on EVERY play from the kick-off then down the field 80 yds or so to score.I'll bet there hasn't been many Div-1 games in which that happened.
Of course it meant nothing because the next yr they beat us over there.
