From a UK blog (LINK):

“Georgia Tech isn’t the most attractive opponent. Using a month to prepare for the almost-extinct triple option doesn’t benefit the Cats in the long-term, however, there are positives. Their leading rusher Marcus Marshall decided to transfer just two days ago. Also, it brings joy to my heart knowing we will get to watch the Cats beat up a bunch of nerds for four hours on New Year’s Eve.”

Seems to be good "bulletin board" material for CPJ & co to use.

Every time I see something else written by one of their fans it becomes more clear that they truly have no ööööing clue what they're talking about.

I browsed one of their boards and they are saying the same dumb shit that fans of all our other opponents say.

More worried about no injuries occurring. Tech has been accused of some shady blocking tactics, veer-wishbone attack requires some combo blocks that a lot of coaches complain, the combo high low that is illegal when you are engaged with defender. Crack back blocks on that lead option can be head removers. They will run that veer and then come back with a backside trap that the DT or DE gets blocked. All of sudden no blockers and then that trap play that is brutal

Makes no difference if we win, no injuries on DL or anywhere. Play well and call it a day. Next year can be SEC East type stuff.

Jesus. When we play someone for the first time under Paul Johnson, going to their message boards is like stepping back into 2008. Even worse, the guys parroting that sort of garbage are probably the most informed football minds their boards have to offer.

Lol man, UK the epitome of football knowledge. The fanbase that considers making any bowl a success. Sad!

With this being our eighth appearance in this bowl game, it officially surpasses the Orange as our most attended bowl. In third place is the Sugar bowl.

I remember the story where Adolph Rupp used to give AD Bobby Dodd all kinds of shit for GTs lack of commitment to bb when GT was in the SEC. And Rupp was spot on.

That's the way I feel about KY football. They pay lip service to it. Incredibly poor commitment from the school. They have a 6-6 season and they act like big shit. That's why I don't want to play these guys. The SEC sux in football this year outside of Bammer. Get used to it. 5 years ago the SEC had Richt, Meyer, Spurrier (retired), Franklin, Petrno. All are in the ACC or Big 10 now. The quality of coaching is the SEC is shit compared to a few years ago. But KY thinks they are good at football. At least I'm not numb enough to talk smack when we play KY in bb with the shitty commitment we make in our bb program!

Might be a repost but I thought it fit here. Looks like an attractive opponent to me....
