Muschamp's defense gave up 162 points in the last 4 games against his Alma Mater.

Yeah. He's a perfect fit or us.

Muschamp was coaching with Miami in the NFL in 2005. I wasn't aware that Georgia played them that year? At least he's beat them in the last 7 seven years!!!!!

look a good or bad coord doesn't translate into a good or bad HC.

A good HC doesn't always make a good coord

a good HC in NFL doesn't = a good HC in college and vice versa

My point. I don't give a flying crap what muschamps record or defensive performance was against UGA. It has no bearing on him being a good HC at Tech.

What we need to find is a coach that is a good fit for tech, that has shown solid performance and understands college football. Will has shown solid performance, understands the college game. Is he a good fit for tech I don't know....That is up to the admins to decide.

Randy Edsall is also 0-3 vs Gailey. Must mean Chan is the better coach right?

That's my opinion, too. I was talking with a UG friend last night and he was telling me that he hopes we do hire Muschamp because his defense has been torched by Georgia.

trust Drad-- Will brings passion, energy, intensity, SEC exp. at big time programs-- all at a better price than the retreads(remember Gt can't pay 2.5 mil for a name coach--we're going to have to roll the bones regardless). Beat UGa, win games, don't cheat and graduate players-- everyone will forget that he's young, went to Uga, hasn't been a HC and cusses during games

Aren't you making an assumption that Will Muschamp will be coaching and running his defense as the HC at Tech?

I doubt that will happen.

I think the rumor that Muschamp has a good shot at replacing Chan has some legs to it.

01-04 he was at LSU
05 he was at Miami

The 03-04 LSU team played UGA twice.

They won 17-10 the first time
and 34-13 in the SECCG.

Not that it really matters

I don't want muschamp.

But if he is hired, will you support him?

Not just askin' you, Wes, but everyone who doesn't want him ->

There were some that despised Gailey from the day he was hired and never let up. Most are now on BO.

No Muschamp for me. He would not even be my favorite Dawg. If I had to pick a Dawg, I'd pick Bobo over Muschamp.

One thing about Muschamp, he's not going to unite the fans as much as some other choices might.

I'd support him but I wouldn't be real excited or buy season tickets.

Hire Spurrier and I'll buy the damn press box.

Would you buy it for the $5mill it would take to get Spurier?

FWIW, I believe Spurier's time has past. USCe was mediocre this year.

If you're going to use his record, how about using his actual record? He wasn't at Auburn for all those years genius.

NCJacket...just so you know....

"If you're going to use his record, how about using his actual record? He wasn't at Auburn for all those years genius."

Hey douchenstein....

He was the Defensive Coordinator at LSU in '03 and '04. He was the coach at AU in '06 and '07. I was wrong about 1 year...'05. Not "all of those years".

The point is broadly the same. His defenses surrendered 42.33 points per game in his last three match-ups against the Dogs.

Does he get the blame/credit for INT returns that Cox threw or punt returns? Just wondering why DCs get the blame for all the points even if ST or the offense surrenders 1/3 of them.

I think Cox completed more passes to Ugag last year than to Auburn at least in the 1st half.

The fan base would certainly be divided..

with an ex-dog becoming head coach at GT. Already former Gt players like John and Nate questioning having an EX-Dog...I don't think Drad will risk this after the divided house we have become over Gailey.

Jimbo Fisher makes more sense than anyone at this point, if we are looking at clues to who Drad might tab, from his previous ties with Lsu.

I went back and checked the box scores.

The dogs returned one INT, no fumbles, no kickoffs and no punts for TDs against Auburn or LSU in the last three match-ups.

42.33 points is 42.33 points.
