I have a hard time believing we interviwed Joker Phillips but didn't interview Muschamp. It wouldn't be the first time the AJC got something wrong to the 'source' gave them bad information.

They did talk to Joker Phillips...I remember that specifically during the process.

That article says that Phillips was the first one interviewed, which does seem like a stretch. His name came up a little later once the "Muschamp is out" posts started, about a week into the process.

everyone wants to believe without issue joker was interviewed when the insiders said he was...but not muschamp; just b/c a newspaper EVERYONE blasts for being BS about tech said?

so which is it?

Muschamp was interviewed. He was NOT A committee find like most of the rest of the coaches on this list were.
His conversations and talks with Rad happened far before the edsall interview.
 
I am chalking that up to differing definitions of "interview". But if the balance of the article is correct it looks like Rad was thorough, made a decision based on set criteria, then went hard after his man.
 
The article may indeed be wrong, but even if it's wrong, I'm glad it says what it says, because at worst it's a great piece of spin to counter the doomer gloomers.
 
Why would DRad need to "interview" Muschamp?

I'm sure he already knows him pretty well.

Why do you keep bringing up this Insider's thing - its like you are pissed that you aren't "getting credit" for stuff. Plus, everyone on this thread basically agrees that we did interview Muschamp and actually questions the whole "Joker" thing. I think people are actually on your side on this one.

One question for you - did Muschamp get a tour around campus, and if so, why did they do interviews at the airport but take Muschamp to campus?
