I find myself looking at the calender more often than the clock. Anyone else feel this anxiety? I CAN NOT wait until the Vandy game. Anybody know anything I can do to pass the... months?
BTW, I was a member here by the name of gtjacket16.

I FEEL YOUR PAIN FELLOW JACKETFAN!! I've been going through the EXACT same thing myself. I've got a friend here in Panama City that's been helping me. Videos of great Tech moments, books like "Focused on the Top" and Ramblin Wreck newsletter are all very helpful. Also searching Stingtalk and The Hive daily are big. Find fellow Jacket fans you can talk to on a regular basis.

That's about all I've got. Keep the faith and remember "Good things come to those that wait!"

Welcome The Jacket. Yes, I am ready for the new season to begin, but I have a lot to do this summer with the kids and grandkids. I intend to fully enjoy the summer, but will be ready for football in the Fall.

If you set the criteria for all posts up to last year, you will find a lot of interesting topics we have discussed and posted on Stingtalk. I believe there are about 15 pages of posts.

I did a synopsis of "Dodds Luck" chapter by chapter. If you have never read the book, then search through the old posts for my synopsis. Hopefully, it will inspire you to find a copy of the book and read it.

I am feeling so guilty right now because our baseball team is in the CWS, but all I can think about is FOOTBALL! Dangit, I didn't even play football in HS. I played baseball and basketball, but I've become a bigger football fan. I've resubscribed to Newberg and Rival's sites, I've already bought my first preseason magazine. I'm already jonesing for some recruiting news. I have noticed Tech is being mentioned by a very good local prospect I have seen play before. His name is Michael Heard, from Lovejoy HS. He sacked DJ Shockley about five times when he was a sophomore, and he is seriously quick. Probably a Fox, Wimbush type in college. I hope we can land him. Also, I'm really anxious to see how our new QB will do. Will Nate Curry be back to the form he was reported to have had last fall? Will Dixon, Hollings and Holiday all emerge? Yes, indeed I have football on the 'Braine' (unlike Beeware who has Braine on the brain).

To get ready for football season, try to enjoy a life OUTSIDE of football. I think I keep forgetting this. You know as well as I that life is about MUCH more than college football. We all need to remember that. Enjoy the summer. Barbeque, swimming pools, watermelon, family fun, etc. Faith, family, and friends is what it's all about really.

As John Lennon once said:

"Life is what happens while we're busy making plans."
