Has any of you seen these? Just watched on TV and how they save on practice injuries.

MVP-DRIVE dummies are finally here and ready to hit your practice field in full force in 2017. Each dummy is $8295+shipping.
Cool dude, how do I order?

Thousands of years ago into the future.. descendants of the original MVP Robotic Tackling Dummy will roam the earth, practicing alternating defensive schemes on alternating days, until the human race has cut the Prevent from their playbooks.. forever.

And everything will be crushed.. in the Orange Cone Uprising of 1987.

Is there anything to the mantra of "gotta hit each other in practice so you aren't hitting someone for the first time in week 1"

Sorry tia, I tried to laugh but could only manage a half-assed fake chuckle. Get some booze in you and re-respond.

I wasn't joking. I seriously think that player safety rules have changed the nature of the contact portion of the sport enough that the advantage gained by teams that acclimate their players to impacts prior to the season are of lower magnitude than in the past. I wouldn't doubt that they could be offset by the advantages gained by additional depth, assuming that this robot can prevent nearly 100% of tackling based practice injuries as the product seems to imply.

Re-reading your comment in that manner makes sense now. Hits have gotten pussified for sure.

Tennessee needs a robotic cut blocking dummy. One that comes in low and will take you out or you get laid on the ground.
