I've had it with these "mightier than thou" UGA fans. Since our most recent loss to the kennel klub, I have come to despise all SEC teams and most of their fans even more. Yes, I have immediate family that are SEC fans but they had their opportunity to remain in the human race. They chose to live in the dog pound of their own doing, not mine. For all of the Stingtalkers that want GT to get back in the SEC, I have a suggestion first. Before anyone wants back in that high society red neck snob sector, I want to see us dominate any SEC team we play. I want to see GT beat any SEC team worse than any ACC team. I want to see any ACC team dominate any SEC team that they may play. I want to see anybody, even Notre Dame or Sou Cal dominate any SEC team that they may play. I'm ready to see the "Holier Than Thou" SEC'ers get their noses rubbed in the same stinking stuff we've had ours rubbed in for a while. The only way now that I'd want to see us even consider rejoining the SEC would be if we were needed and begged to help bale them out of the mess they got themselves into. I don't see that happening in the future so in that case I say "TO HELL WITH UGA AND THE SEC THEY RODE INTO TOWN ON".
I'm ready to see GT start not only succeeding in the sports arena, I'm ready for GT to start DOMINATING and HUMILIATING others in the sports arena.
I've been a CCG supporter ever since he's gotten here and I hope to continue, but dang it if we don't get this thing showing some consistency this coming fall, I'm through taking up for him. He may be the best thing for GT since PN Butter but if he can't reach a consistent level, can the Chan.
This thing out in SF Cal. really reached me and my disgust dept. I hate like the devil to have to bring in a new HC at GT and take a chance on him not living up to expectations, but dad dangit, we may just have to soon.
Come on Chan, give us some encouragement!!!!!!
I'm off my soap box now and I thank you for listening.

I'd rather be in the SEC. More interesting competition. Better for recruiting. Only Clemson interests me in the ACC.

For GT to prosper, we should be in the SEC. Too bad we have so many idiots that can not sell the SEC on why it would be a benefit to them to have us rejoin.

We would recruit better S/As (and they would qualify for GT), we will sell many more season tickets and they would be to GT fans.

PH might complain, but football comes first.

Hall might complain because he can't compete. Get tougher.

I don't know why, but I can't resist posting when this 'we should be in the SEC' nonsense come up again and again. The ACC is the class conference in most collegiate sports if not football, and is fast-approaching that in football. We don't need to be in the SEC to recruit and compete on the field; we need a good athletic director, and a good head coach. Nothing more or less.

Not gonna happen. The ACC will NEVER be able to approach the likes of Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, UGAg, USC, LSU, Mississippi/MSU for drawing folks to ballgames and recruits.

Fact is, The SEC has the big state school in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, Kentucky and Arkansas. The ACC will not ever surpass that.

We can tell ourselves that we are equal, but it ain't happening. The SEC will outdraw us at the gate and out recruit the ACC.

I wish we were a part of that. All roads in the south lead to Atlanta and we are not a part of the big party.

Here's where we'll just have to agree to disagree, then. I'd much rather be in the ACC. But maybe that's because, as much as I like football, I prefer basketball. Nevertheless, Miami, Virginia Tech, and FSU are gonna be powers for years to come, and Clemson just may be on its way back, too.

Re: How Many SEC Teams Playing Today? ACC?Case Clo

yeah, and there's 3 big ten teams playing today as well, and I don't think anyone's making the case that they're the top conference either.
