My biggest problem from the game...

Many problems last night, but I hated the "hotel Hewitt" mentality of our football team. I think it can work in basketball some, but I do not like it in football. Start the game off with Taylor and Evans. Neither seem to really be lighting it up after several series. In comes Dwyer. He is averaging 8 or so yards a carry it seems, I dont care whether it is inside or out. Then, you just take him back out and go to Evans who does nothing. Let's put in Nesbitt now. He looks to be running well too. Well, now that it looks like he had something going, let's throw Bennett back in there, this time with Dwyer. Rinse and repeat.

It just went on like this the entire night (at least until I was so disgusted of everything that I actually left the game early - can't speak to what happened afterwards). Why can't we just pick our horse and go with it? If that doesn't work, pick someone else - but don't keep going back and forth.

Am I just reaching for something here, or do others feel the same way?

Well, you are between Taylor and Nesbitt. Josh just ain't ready yet, his snaps are to give him game experience.

But, yes, it would seem that since Dwyer was more effective, you'd tend to stay with him.

By the looks of things, Taylor isnt ready yet either. I think Gailey is just resisting handing the offense over to another freshman after what happened the last time he did that...I think it would be best for this team though. Only way to gain experience is to play the game...

No --it was GT from an offensive identity that seemed to be reaching for something. I never did figure out what it was.

You weren't the only one who left early in disgust --I bolted early as well --before the end of the third.

I left with about 8 minutes to go in the game, and there were very few left, aside from the band, the students, and the VPI folks enjoying their night- good for them.

Josh needs more game experience THROWING the ball. We know he can run. I don't know why they didn't just put in at the end to get some passes in when we knew the game was over.
