Bench the seniors. Let them play UGAg, fine. But there is absolutely nothing to gain from playing seniors the rest of the season. Let people who will be there next year get every rep in practice and the games.

They are mainly our offensive line and defense.

Bench the seniors and Sewak. Let a GA coach the OL and see if it gets better.

This red line in the sand was more effective taipan this O line

This or, shaq mason was the greatest player ever since he apparently blocked everyone himself.

Shaq was 10 feet tall and shot lightning bolts from his arse. Fact.

I don't blame this loss on the offense. They generally played a lot better. Marshall has sewn up the B back job, maybe for the next three years. This loss is more on the defense. even when they stopped Pitt it caused problems with field position. Our best field position was at our own 24 in this game. They started two times on our side of the field. I also thought the young A backs played better.

The upside of all of these young players getting time is that we should be better next year.

It wasn't just Shaq. We had a two-deep full of seniors at BB, AB and WR. They covered up mistakes by OL through making people miss, and didn't make as many mistakes themselves. BB has had issues this year reading defenses as well.

This thread is also asinine, unless you really want to resign yourselves to a 2-10 season. Good luck on defense without Gotsis, Golden and DJ White.

This is why I want the young ones to play the rest of the way. They have the talent to make people miss and take it to the house. They might as well make the mistakes this year so there can be improvement next year.

Golden isn't playing nearly as well as when he had Isaiah Johnson playing beside him. And we need to replace him with a more dynamic return man. He hasn't been even a fraction of the returner that he was pre-injury.

Don't bench the seniors. I am sure they are trying. However, definitely play the younger offensive linemen and defensive backs so that they are ready for a better season next year. We are already playing everyone we have at the other positions. There is no reason to burn the remaining redshirts. The focus now needs to be maximizing the results for future seasons.
If JT is hurt, we should play the other QB's and try to have him ready for Georgia. That game is now the only hope to redeem this season.

On paper, we should have the best OL CPJ has had since he has been here. The size and the experience is all there. However, this OL is the worst I've ever seen at GT in some 30+ years. Even the patched together, using a TE as lineman and a walk on D-lineman as a center, never seen this offense before, 2008 OL was better than this. Is the problem the center not calling the right blocking assignments, the OL coach being a waste, or something else? It is hard to believe an entire unit of guys simply don't get it. We had one play in the second half trying to pass from our own 8 yard line when I counted one (1) Pitt defender being blocked (it would make a wonderful gif if someone has it recorded). These players can't be this bad without some "help" from the coaching or somewhere.

I know the exact play. I stopped and rewound immediately. It was actually hilarious seeing multiple OLs breaking down, heads on swivels looking for someone to block, when the DLs who had just run directly past them converged on JT. It was really amateur hour out there.

I seriously think Shaq was an amazing on field coach and was helping with a lot of blocking calls pre-snap. Now that he is gone we are seeing a lot of the same crap from Sewak we saw before.
