I'm sure most of you are on to Clemson now...but I'm just getting over my hangover(football saturday + nascar sunday = way too much beer)
My thoughts, in no particular order:
-Some people are worried that we didn't blow them out worse...if you look at the box score, the game was pretty much a blowout.
-Our starters scored 31 points in 2 quarters...this is good
-Our passing efficiency was over 50%, that's nice to see
-The majority of JSU's points came in garbage time
-JSU's backup QB performed pretty well, it seems that we are still somewhat susceptible to "dink and dunk" offenses(see UVA from last year)
-335 rushing yards, 6.7 YPC, again w/ only 2 quarters of starter play
-I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to line play, but the OL appeared to be better, and the DL had the dropoff we were all expecting.
-Thank GOD for a punt returner!
-Everything we ran on both sides of the ball was extremely vanilla, I'm not putting a ton of stock into the negatives of this game.
-Biggest negatives for me were that our kicking game and fumbling problem appear to remain
