Word is now that Chan is one of the 3 Miami finalists, and Pete ain't one of the three. Dunno if true, but if Capers or Mora gets it, then it might have been true. (I'd pick Capers, regardless of what happened in Houston.)
If Chan leaves, and I never begrudge any coach leaving to get paid, I think the two candidates on everyone's lips to coach here will be Jimbo Fisher and Ken W.
Whisenhunt would be my choice. I'd be ecstatic. Tough. Professional. Great background in both offense and special teams. Believes in offensive balance and a bit of trickery. Has been an intergral part of a successful program in Pittsburgh, and should still remember what GT is all about.
I would expect Rad to go with Fisher. Not only is there an LSU connection, but Fisher is from WV, which matches Rad's coal and steel Pennsylvania background. Fisher gets mixed results on his LSU offense. Some thought it boring and predictable. FSU liked it enough to hire him, when some at least around here thought the job was Hatcher's. I'll support him if he is named.
