N&O Tech Preview

Pretty much the nail on the head.BUT-unless we lose TB,Choice,Wheeler,or Lewis to injury-we won't go 5-7.

7-5 isn't realistic; it is pessimistic.

Best-Case - 12-0
Realistic - 9-3
Worst Case - 7-5

Actually, if Notre Dame can conjure the ghosts and win the opener and the Jackets can't win coin-tosses at Virginia and Maryland, a five-win season is a very real possibility.

Er...what? If those things happen...that's three losses. Where the hell would the other four come from? I'd agree with TechGator that 7-5 is pessimistic but possible. I'd say 10-2 is realistic, assuming we don't throw one away against Duke or something.

I can come up with a few more, although it'd be a HUGE stretch for us to lose to all of these teams. UGA, Miami, VaTech, BC, and the three he mentioned.

That'd be a horribly depressing prediction for this season, but I guess that's where he's pulling it from. I'm with the rest of you guys. I think 9-3 is a pretty realistic prediction, with 7-5 as the low and 11-1 to be the high.

"The week after the Virginia Tech upset, the Jackets rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Maryland. Down 24-13 in the final quarter, GT needed touchdown runs from Ball and Choice to win 27-23."

This is generally extremely tough to do - Getting the other team to actually remove points from the board is rarely seen, even with scoreboard operators with Ugag degrees.

:laugher:

I heard it was because the EP kicker was DQ'd due to using an illegal kicking shoe for that point. The shoe has since been dismissed from the University and the kicker has issued a formal apology.
