Navy Hires New Coach

I would have to assume that some of the staff will stay at Navy, opening up more opportunities for Tech staff to stay on board. At least with the quick announcement, we might be able to finalize a staff more quickly. This will allow us to go full steam ahead on recruiting.

I don't think there is any reason PJ should mess with the tech D staff....outside of JT wanting to leave.

You have to assume they started searching weeks ago. They probably told him, "if PJ goes, you're our man."
 
I want to see the press conference.

AD: "And now I am very, very proud to announce and present to the media and fans the new head football coach for the United States Naval Academy: Ken.. !

Give it up for him folks!"
 
I can point out two things:
1. They already have a scheme that works thanks to PJ, which the assistant should know inside out.
2. Coach market is crappy thanks to all the vacancies. And they are no GT to pay less and get a good coach!
 
He played QB for Hawaii under Paul Johnson. He led them to their crushing victories over BYU when Ty Detmer was there and won the Heisman.
 
Now that Buddy Green didn't get the HC job we'll see if he joins PJ at Tech or, hopefully, Giff Smith (priority) and/or CJT stay...
