McClendon is a great looking back.. and the NC State OL is good... but the most impressive thing is the attitude... this team has ATTITUDE !!

Its starting to look more and more like Amato had a huge role to play in FSU's success.....I had heard that from several FSU friends of mine before, but now I am starting to believe it..

I tell you another thing - from the FSU Alum I know, there will be a HUGE pust for FSU to hire Amato at some point in the future

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">Hmm... I would see FSU go after Richt before Amato. Amato has the same affections for NC State that Fridge has for UMD. He's an alumn who played football there.

Plus, he's getting on up in age, whereas Richt is a young guy with a bright future ahead.

Add to the fact that Richt can hardly breath while Dooley is alive ... I would think Richt would jump at the FSU job, if offered.

OTOH, if Dooley passes away before Richt leaves, Richt will pretty much have the same opportunity that Dooley had: become the next god of Ugag athletics.

Either way ... we're stuck with Chan for a while. I hope he can get it together - for his sake and ours.

BBR - I agree with that whole assessment - Its going to be REAL interesting to see who takes over the reigns at FSU in a few (or less) years.

I know a couple of pretty influential people at FSU (big time contributors etc), and this is what I am hearing from them - they REALLY want Amato - but granted, its a pretty small sample of FSU alum

I would have bet my bottom dollar Tommy would have succeeded his Dad at FSU, but now I am not so sure.

I also thought Richt would not succeed Papa Bowden at FSU because of the pressure and UGA's edge in getting a lot of recruits because of being in the SEC. I think the ACC is closing the gap on the SEC's recruiting edge, and Amato is beginning to look like the real thing.

I thought NCSU would weaken after Chow left, but it seems to have gotten stronger. If NCSU is Amato's school, then he may not leave. That fact may cause UGA fans to start worrying a little.

I don't think Richt would leave Athens because of his success this year and the prestige of the SEC. IMO, UGA is the better job.

Wrecked, you think uga is a better job that FSU??? Are you on crack? Have you forgotten what FSU did from about 1988 to 2000? "prestige of the SEC" you mean cheating? I would think a coach would want to be at the best possible program, and between uga and FSU, it's a no-brainer.

Last night when Corso said Clemson is more like an SEC school, I thought, "Why, because they're getting killed by an ACC school?"

GO JACKETS!!!
