I'm actually kind of wondering if some people will hate other teams so much, they'll sign up for their rival (say, UGA), and then be a poor sport early and often. It would be an interesting way to game the system.

Not that anyone here hates our rival that much...

obviously, you have never been to a GT football game where we are playing, say Duke, and some guys wearing Georgie shirts will come to the game and cheer for Duke.

in the case of football, its b/c they bought season tix for the last game, but they come and cheer against us at numerous sporting events

Cheering against someone at a sporting event=/=going through the trouble of playing with their team and being unsportsmanlike
