ND Blows........

I can't wait to watch our Jackets "slap" the Irish next Labor Day Weekend in South Bend in person!

Whining Weis opted for a fake punt inside his own 35 ...and LSU has 7 points to show for it.

Geaux Tigers

LSU's DBs are amazing. I wonder if we were ever in the running for LaRon Landry, DaRon's brother.

Likewise, I only root for ND if they play UGAG!

Literally, I have only pulled for Notre Dame three times in my life ...and they lost all three games:

Last year against USC
1991 Orange Bowl vs Colorado
1981 Sugar Bowl vs UGA (this will show how much I loathe ND, I momentarily considered pulling for UGA in this game, but I quickly snapped out of it!)

Can't believe that they now have lost nine straight bowl games. :D

What does ND look like for next year? Do they have an answer at QB?

they started 18 seniors.............9 on offense and 9 on defense. 1 lineman and Walker back on offense. A linebacker and cornerback back on defense.....haven't heard if Walker is considering going pro

They have signed No.1 ranked QB...but with no lineman back....I expect you will see blitzes early and often in our game.

We should have an excellent chance

Also, Kicker and punter are seniors I believe

During the UGA vs Fisheaters, Bowl I cheered for the Ref's. I wanted a tie so both looked bad.
If I had a choice of cheering for UGA, the Fisheaters or the Communist China guys; well I would be eating rice.
I have not ever, will not ever, a'int gonna ever cheer for UGA or ND.

Speaking of cheering for a tie, you jogged my memory to back in 1983 when I went up to Clemson for the UGA game. I had two friends who were Clemson fans and the others were UGA fans. I hated both teams so told them I was pulling for a tie, which is what happened, 16-16. :D

At least half of those seniors will be back. ND lists school year, not football, and they have a history of players entering grad school to use their 4th year of eligibility. Quinn and their top receivers will be gone, but don't expect an inexperienced team otherwise. The will likely be faster than this year also.

I can. They are perenially overrated and always get a better bowl bid than they deserve. So they get their butts handed to them.

I'm pretty sure that four or five of ND's OL were using their fourth year of playing eligibility, as well as most of their defense.

Also, it's interesting to note that ND has the lowest bowl winning percentage of any school and that GT, at least a couple years ago, had the highest winning percentage. That points to ND always getting in a bowl they don't deserve and GT usually getting shafted.

Is this a serious question? If not, where have you been? They got the #1 (to some) recruit in the country coming in by the name of Jimmy Clausen. QB from Westlake, CA.

Here, here! This is EXACTLY why they've lost 9 straight bowl games. They are constantly matched up with superior teams because they get invited to bowls that they don't really deserve to be in.

Unfortunately, GT has now slipped to #3. Penn State has been #1 for a couple of years now, USC jumped to #2 after this bowl season. Boise's win over Oklahoma kept the Sooners from leap-frogging the Jackets this year.

The 10 year bowl streak (5-5) has seen GT's overall percentage fall from .680 to .628, still a nice percentage, and 22 wins ranks #8 all time.

How could you root for them against USC? That goes against all ND hatred criteria --you must have been cheating on your wife and felt guilty.

Sorry about that. I was referring to returning starters. I had heard about Clausen. My bad for not clarifying.
